Iran Foreign Ministry:

Tehran (IP)- Following approval of the anti-Iranian resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement called the resolution based on the hasty and unbalanced and false and fabricated information of the Zionist regime, warning that the move would weaken any interaction with IAEA on Behalf of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Thursday morning, following the approval of the US-European Anti-Iranian resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency:

"The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the adoption of the resolution presented by the United States, Britain, France and Germany at today's meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency as a political, incorrect and unconstructive action," The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

"Based on a joint statement dated March 5, 2022, the Islamic Republic of Iran demonstrated its good faith in interacting with the IAEA by providing accurate technical information, and it was expected that the IAEA, with an independent, impartial and professional approach, would take constructive and realistic action to normalize safeguards issues that it had acknowledged have no concern about non-proliferation.

However, the statement stressed that some seem to have forgotten that all past issues were closed once and for all on December 15, 2015, by the Board of Governors.

IAEA Board of Governors approves anti-Iran resolution

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always cooperated constructively with the IAEA in recent years, and the conduct of a significant part of the IAEA inspections worldwide in Iran confirms this point, so that it currently enjoys one of the most transparent peaceful nuclear programs among the IAEA member states," The statement added.

" Elsewhere, the statement stated: "The adoption of the resolution, which is based on the hasty and unbalanced report of the IAEA Director General and based on false and fabricated information of the Zionist regime, will only weaken the process of cooperation and interaction of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the IAEA."

As previously announced, the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken reciprocally practical steps due to the IAEA unconstructive approach and the adoption of the resolution, including the installation of advanced centrifuges and the deactivation of cameras; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued.

The proposed resolution of the United States and the European Troika against Iran was approved on Wednesday, despite strong opposition from China and Russia at the quarterly meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
