Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Belarusian president strongly condemned the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk.

Lukashenko said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council attended by a large number of delegations: “These attacks targeted sites operating under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency and are a serious violation of international law; in particular, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the Geneva Conventions of 1949.”

Lukashenko added that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was scheduled to attend the meeting for the first time as a representative of an observer state in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), “but due to circumstances that are clear to everyone, he was unable to attend the meeting.”
