New Delhi (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister discussed regional and international issues with his Indian counterpart in New Delhi.

Iran PressAsia: Leading a high-ranking delegation, Iran's Foreign Minister arrived in New Delhi and met with the Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Wednesday morning.

In the meeting, a judicial assistance agreement was signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran and India. 

In a letter, Amir-Abdollahian also called for India's support for the membership of Iran in the BRICS group. 

The BRICS group members (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) are known for their significant influence on regional affairs. Although the BRICS members, except Russia, are among the developing countries with emerging economic power, they are distinguished for their growing economies and influence in regional and international affairs.
