Damascus (IP) - Iranian Health Minister and his accompanying delegation met with Syria's Health Minister, Sunday in Damascus.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to SANA, during the meeting, they both touched upon boosting cooperation between Syria and Iran in health sector development, providing quality services to patients, and exchanging expertise between the doctors.

The meeting also included a view of the services offered by the Health Ministry and efforts exerted by the workers amid the challenges imposed by the terrorist war on Syria, the economic blockade, and the spread of the coronavirus.

"There are common points that can be benefited to develop the work and serve the citizens of both countries," Syria's Health Minister, Hassan al-Ghabbash,]قشد-سغ said in a statement following the meeting.

In turn, the Iranian Health Minister,  Bahram Einollahi, indicated that the exchange of medicines and medical supplies would positively impact disease prevention and treatment for many health problems.

He hoped this visit would produce tangible results in signing documents and mutual implementation plans and further communication between the doctors and scientists to conduct joint research.
