Geneva(IP)- The Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology stressed adopting strategies for managing the world's cyberspace so that all countries could play a role in managing it.

The Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who is attending the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland, explained the purpose of the trip and the most important points of the summit in an interview with Iran Press news agency.

Referring to the meeting with the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Houlin Zhao, Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Issa Zarepour, explained that Zhao had praised the Iranian efforts to develop communications and information technology.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran added that the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union promised to cooperate in developing communications and technology in Iran and employing specialized Iranian staff in the ITU.

Zarepour also said that one of the most essential discussions Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland was the adoption of strategies for managing the world's cyberspace so that all countries could play a role in managing it.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran stated that all countries' cultures and special conditions should be considered in any regulation of cyberspace. This idea was considered by the participants in the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland.
