Republic of Azerbaijan intl. competitions:

Baku(IP)-The Iranian women's national track and field team won seven colorful medals in the international competitions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Iran PressAsia: "Parichehr Shahi" was the most successful Iranian athlete in this competition and won 2 gold medals and also improved the record of one item.

Shahi was in the first place in the 1500 meters in 4 minutes, 34 seconds, and 19 hundredths of a second, and with 3000 meters' steeplechase in 9 minutes, 54 seconds, and 11 hundredths of a second; she also broke Iran's 3,000-meter record after 12 years.

"Kajan Rostami," another Iranian athlete, won a gold medal in the 400 meters in 57.97 seconds and stood in second place in the 200 meters within 25.06 seconds.

"Sanaz Amiripour" also won silver in the 100 meters in 12.31 seconds and in the 200 meters with a record of 25.56 seconds and won a bronze medal.

"Sarina Saedi" was in second place in the triple jump with a record of 12.38 meters, and in the long jump with a record of 5.69 meters, she won the fourth title.
