Tehran (IP)- Iranian Minister of Petroleum met with his Omani counterpart to discuss cooperation between the two countries in various energy sectors.

Iran PressMiddle East: Javad Owji, who left Tehran for Oman on Friday, discussed the development of cooperation between Iran and Oman in various energy sectors and joint projects with his Omani counterpart Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi.

It is worth mentioning that a delegation of 50 Iranian businesspeople and economic figures visited Oman last week to create the conditions for the expansion of economic and trade relations between Iran and Oman.

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi will leave for Muscat on Monday at the official invitation of the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to continue economic diplomacy and expand economic, political, and cultural interactions.

The official reception at the Al Elm Palace, a bilateral meeting with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, signing of several cooperation documents, a meeting with Iranians living in Oman, and a meeting with businesspeople and economic activists in this country are among the president's one-day travel plans.

Raisi's visit to Muscat is the first visit of the President of Iran to the country during the reign of the new Sultan of Oman and the fifth state visit of the president in the nine months of the 13th administration.
