Iran Press/ Middle East: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrived in Tehran on Thursday at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation to meet with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Qatar is one of the target countries with priority in Iran's foreign policy. A review of the history of relations between the two countries shows that Iran and Qatar's ties have always been deep and growing.
The Emir of Qatar posted a picture of himself with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Twitter on Friday morning and wrote: "I would like to express my gratitude towards Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for hosting and welcoming me during my visit to Tehran."
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said that during this visit he talked with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the dimensions of bilateral cooperation in various fields, adding: "During the visit, the officials of the two countries also discussed ways to strengthen security and stability in the region, given the current developments in the world and the region."
The Emir of Qatar in a joint press conference with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Thursday described the relations between the two countries as strong, stable and based on good neighborliness. 219
