Tehran (IP) - Emir of Qatar says Doha welcomes Iran's offers of cooperation in the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup and easing visa issuance for Iranians to travel to Qatar for watching World Cup matches.

Iran PressIran News: Meeting with the Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber on Thursday, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani referred to the two countries' commission of joint cooperation' saying: "Qatar is preparing the grounds to reach the desired level of economic bilateral ties with Iran."

Iran's Mokhber for his part stressed the shore-up of Tehran-Doha regional ties, including the exposition of cooperation to settle the crises in some of the regional countries like Yemen and Afghanistan.  

Mokhber referred to the martyrdom of the correspondent of Al Jazeera Shireen Abu Akleh, who was shot in the head by the Israeli troops, and praised Qatar's supportive stance on Palestine.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar has paid a one-day visit to Tehran at the invitation of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Sheikh Tamim formally invited Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to have a visit to Qatar to consolidate Tehran-Doha's economic and political relations. 

The Emir of Qatar who has arrived at Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport a while ago was officially welcomed by Iranian First Vice President Mohmmad Mokhber.
