Tehran (IP) - Iranian Red Crescent Society and the German Red Cross signed a memorandum of understanding on Saturday in the fields of relief, training and volunteering services.

Iran PressIran news: The Vice-President of the German Red Cross, Volkmar SCHÖN, met with the Secretary-General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Yaqoub Soleimani on Saturday morning in the IRCS’ Building of Peace.

The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in humanitarian fields, including relief, training and volunteering services.

The Iranian official announced IRCS' readiness to cooperate with the German Red Cross in various fields, such as aid workers training.

Soleimani pointed out that IRCS could share its experiences in the fields of Red Crescent Houses and volunteering services.

The IRCS secretary-general noted that the Iranian Red Crescent provided COVID-19 vaccination for five million Afghan nationals residing in Iran.

The German Red Cross vice-president, for his part, stated that the service of the Iranian Red Crescent Society to foreign nationals is admirable and announced the German Red Cross' readiness to cooperate with the Iranian Red Crescent in this regard.
