Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Petroleum said on his Twitter account: "We want to use all our capacities to develop bilateral relations and cooperation.”

Iran PressIran news: Javad Owji headed a delegation to Venezuela earlier this week, during which he met with Venezuelan Oil Minister Tareck El Aissami and some high-ranking Venezuelan officials, including President Nicolas Maduro and Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

"Today we had meetings with the President of Venezuela, Mr. Maduro, and other senior Venezuelan officials. Iran-Venezuela relations have a long history, and we want to use all our capacities to develop relations and cooperation," the tweet reads.

President Nicolas Maduro also twitted:"I received Mr. Javad Owji, Minister of Petroleum of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran. It was a constructive meeting to deepen brotherhood ties and cooperation in the field of energy. I also reiterated my appreciation for the Iranian people and my love for them."

"It was a constructive meeting to deepen brotherhood ties and energy cooperation," the Venezuelan president tweeted.

"In the meeting with Mr. Javad Owji, Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we reviewed strategic agreements," Maduro added.

During his visit to Caracas, the Iranian petroleum minister also met with Venezuelan First Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

During the Minister of Petroleum's visit to Latin America, four memorandum of understanding, two agreements in oil, and two agreements in agriculture were signed.
