Tehran (IP) - In a phone call with the Taliban acting foreign minister, Iran's Foreign Minister expressed concerns over the security of the Iranian diplomatic missions in Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Iran News:  In a phone conversation with the Taliban's official, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed concerns over the security of the Iranian diplomatic missions in Afghanistan.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone call with Taliban foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

He sympathized with the people of Afghanistan and voiced his concerns over the threats against the Iranian embassy in Kabul and the Consulates General in Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Kandahar and Jalalabad and called for full security measures for them.

Meanwhile, Muttaqi presented a report of the security developments in Afghanistan.

He termed the relations between the two countries as important and emphasized that the enemies of the two nations are trying to damage the relations between the two countries.

The Taliban's official stated: "we assure you that the Afghan security forces will fully ensure the security of all diplomatic and consular missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan." 219
