Tehran(IP): The Deputy Minister of Innovation and Technology announced the allocation of 700 billion Tomans ($ 25 million) by the Islamic Consultative Assembly to universities, science, and technology parks this year.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Khairoddin, the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Technology, said: "Fortunately, good work was done by the heads of Science and Technology Parks and the Minister of Science at the end of the 1400 year (in Persian Calendar), and finally some universities received up to 110% credits to conduct their knowledge-based projects.

Khairoddin, in response to the question about the number of knowledge-based companies in the universities and their funds, noted: The Islamic Consultative Assembly has provided funds for universities this year and new funds for innovative projects are on the way.

According to the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Technology, these credits will be allocated to universities, science and technology parks, and growth centers, while 300 billion Tomans  ($ 10 million) will be allocated for special technology zones and areas.

Khairuddin noted: "We are waiting for these credits to be finalized."
