Iran Press/ Iran News: Hamid Shahriari said on Monday in a seminar entitled "Reliance on the Qur'an is the secret of unity and dignity": "Today, some people are attacking the unity of Islam and are excommunicating some Islamic religions, and this is the enemy's weapon for inciting war and bloodshed among the Islamic Ummah.".
He warned the scholars of the Islamic world to be aware of the enemy's tactics in sowing divisions among the Islamic religions and not to play into their hands.
In this ceremony, Mamosta Sheikh Aziz Babaei, the Sunni Friday Imam of the Sadeghieh district of Tehran, also said that the Quran has a key role in the unity between Muslims and Islamic religions.
He said that the enemies of Islam want to remove the Qur'an from people's lives and that this conspiracy must be stopped.
Criticizing Islamic countries, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, president of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, said that the book of the Qur'an is widely published in Islamic countries, but that Islamic rulers do not follow the commands of the Holy Qur'an and the oppression of the Palestinian people is an example of this disobedience.
He added: "The Palestinian people actually follow the Qur'an by attending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and praying."
Effat Shariati, an Iranian parliamentarian, also said at the ceremony: "The imperialism is trying to push the Muslim nation back, but the Islamic Ummah is always moving forward to achieve the new civilization of the Islamic world and we must all unite to achieve this civilization."
