Shiraz(IP): The second ceremony of the holy nights of Qadr, the night of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS), was held in the presence of Iranian people from all walks of life in the holy shrine of Shahcheragh in Shiraz, Fars province.

Iran Press/Iran News: Laylat Al Qadr, also known as 'Shab-e-Qadr,' the 'Night of Destiny' or the 'Night of Power,' is observed on the 27th Day of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is considered to be the holiest night of the year for Muslims and marks the night that the first verses of the Qur'an were revealed to the Prophet Mohammed.

Also, the night preceding Imam Ali’s martyrdom is recognized to be one of the threefold Qadr Nights, when the Holy Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) more than 14 centuries ago.

Shahcheragh is a famous holy shrine of Imam Mousa Kazem's (7th Shia Imam) son, Mir Seyed Ahmad, who is the brother of Imam Reza (8th Shi'a Imam) (peace be upon him).
