Iran Press/ Middle East: The Israeli troops and Zionist settlers have intensified their attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque in recent days, and these attacks are taking place in the shadow of the silence of some Arab and Muslim countries that are pursuing a policy of normalizing relations with the Israeli regime.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai, a number of Kuwaitis and members of parliament, including Osama al-Shaheen and Hamad al-Matar, staged protests in Kuwait's Al-Erada Square on Tuesday in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian I'tikaf practitioners in the holy mosque.
"The protests convey a spiritual and symbolic message, and this is our least support for the I'tikaf practitioners in Al-Aqsa Mosque, because the issue of Quds is a humane, Islamic and fair issue," Osama al-Shaheen wrote.
Hamad al-Matar, another member of the Kuwaiti parliament, condemned the voices calling for the normalization of relations with the cruel enemy. He further stressed Kuwait's position of opposing all forms of compromise with such an enemy.
Earlier, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry condemned the attack by the Israeli regime's forces and settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the battery of Palestinian worshipers.
The Palestinian resistance movement has warned the occupiers in recent days about any escalation of tensions in al-Quds.
