Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 23 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 140,800.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to April 16, 2022, 7,205,064 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,942,220 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,015 cases, of whom 195 patients were hospitalized.

1,420 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 50,370,520 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 55 cities are red, 84 are orange, 274 are Yellow and 35 are blue zones.

So far, 64,173,275 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 57,325,244 have received the second dose, 26,719,467 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 148,217,986 doses.
