Iran Press/ Middle East: The World Cup draw took place on Saturday evening in Doha, Qatar; the national football team of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was grouped with the teams of England, the United States, and the winner of the European playoffs.
During a meeting between Gianni Infantino, President of Fédération Internationale de Football Association known as FIFA, Mirshad Majedi, the President of the Iranian Football Federation, and Fatima Samura, FIFA Secretary-General in Doha, Qatar, the Iranian official emphasized the efforts of the Iranian Football Federation to develop international activities, especially on sports diplomacy.
Infantino said during the meeting that we follow all the issues raised about the federations only through the federation itself, and no attention would be paid to other reports or rumors.
The President of FIFA also stated in response to Majedi regarding the financial problems of the Iranian Football Federation and the frozen money in FIFA: "We will seek to find a solution to this problem and we will try so that Iran's demands will be met in a proper way."
