Iranian male three-a-side basketball team advance to World Cup semi-final

Doha (IP)- The Iranian boys' three-man basketball team advanced to the semi-finals of the three-man basketball World Cup qualifiers with two consecutive victories against Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Iranian three-a-side basketball team, which competed in the Under-23 World Cup qualifiers hosted by Qatar, defeated Malaysia and Sri Lanka and advanced to the semifinal.

In the first game, the Iranian team defeated Malaysia 21-17, and in the second game, they won 6-1 against Sri Lanka.

With these two victories, the Iranian boys' three-man basketball team reached the semifinals as the first team.

In the semifinals today (Saturday), Iran must face Qatar to reach the final.

The champion team of this tournament can get a license to participate in the three-man basketball World Cup.

The Iranian boys' three-man basketball team, including "Behshad Arabzadeh," "Amir Hossein Yazarloo," "Ehsan Dalirzehan," and "Amir Hossein Rezaeifar," is participating in this event.

Ghafoor Kamrava is the technical director, and Siamke Veisi is the head coach.

Iranian girls' basketball team also advanced to the World Cup semifinal.

Iranian girls' three-man basketball team under-23 will face Uzbekistan in a qualifying round of the World Cup qualifiers with a victory over Qatar.
