Iran's COVID updates: 173 succumb to death

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 173 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 138,433.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 09, 2022, a total of 7,107,167 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,754,234 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 5,008 cases, of whom 911 patients were hospitalized.

3,265 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 47,961,837 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 148 cities are red, 196 are orange, 101 are yellow, and 3 are blue zones.

So far, 63,338,092 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 55,935,842 have received the second dose, 24,517,348 have received the booster shot, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 143,791,282 doses.
