Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 144 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 138,260.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 08, 2022, a total of 7,102,159 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,747,070 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 5,841 cases, of whom 988 patients were hospitalized.

3,428 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 47,884,518 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 148 cities are red, 196 are orange, 101 are Yellow and 3 are blue zones.

So far, 63,274,619 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 55,873,542 have received the second dose, 24,342,205 have received the booster shot, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 143,490,366 doses.
