Rome (IP) - Iran's cultural attache in Italy told Radio Capital: "This year, Iran and Italy are celebrating the 160th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and the cultural cooperation between the two countries is underway."

Iran PressEurope: Mohammad-Taghi Amini stated that the comprehensive relations between Iran and Italy, based on the two countries' historical, cultural, and rich civilizations, are culturally oriented.

Amini stated that Iranian cultural diplomacy in Italy promotes mutual understanding and strengthens peace and friendship between the two nations.

Regarding cultural events in Italy, he said that a specialized library of Iranian studies had been established in Rome, and more than 160 books have been translated and published to introduce Iranian culture and civilization to Italians.

Mohammad-Taghi Amini stated that holding Persian language courses, supporting Iranian studies chairs in Italian universities, exhibitions, film screenings, and music concerts are other activities of the Iranian Cultural Counselor in Italy to strengthen peace and friendship between the two countries.
