IAEA director-general:

IRAN (IP)- Director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran and IAEA pragmatically exchange views to reach results.

Iran PressIran News: The eighth round of talks on the removal of anti-Iranian sanctions resumed on Dec. 27, 2021, in the Austrian capital of Vienna. Representatives from China, France, Russia, Britain, Germany, and Iran have been negotiating in Vienna to bring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) back on track.

Rafael Mariano Grossi met Mohammad Eslami on Saturday morning in Tehran, and he is scheduled to meet with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian this afternoon.

In a joint press conference on Saturday at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Rafael Grossi expressed his pleasure attending Tehran and said Iran and IAEA are in touch regularly since they have significant issues to consider.

He emphasized that there are particular issues left in the resolution for the Board of Governors of IAEA, and both sides try to reach results.

The director-general of IAEA stated that other negotiations are taking place right now, along with our negotiations here, aiming to return Iran and other parties to the JCPOA's commitments, and negotiations here are closely related.

"If Iran and IAEA would not yield results in their negotiations, JCPOA will not yield results too," he highlighted.

Grossi said that he hoped to move forward, and since nuclear energy is necessary for all countries in various fields of climate change, energy, and even economy after the recession caused by the coronavirus pandemic, he was committed to paving the way for Iranians to benefit from nuclear energy too.

AEOI, IAEA to exchange documents within three months: AEOI head

The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran also said that the issues between the AEOI and IAEA should be resolved in a natural process, and the necessary documents would be exchanged until June.

During the conference, Mohammad Eslami stated that the two sides emphasize that Iran-IAEA issues should be followed in a natural way and within the framework of regulations and out of any political influence, lobbying, or interference.

He expressed hope that the cooperation process with IAEA would be non-political and the Iranian nation would see its effects in their lives.

Regarding the Israeli regime's threats against Iran's nuclear program, Eslami noted that the fake regime constantly threatens Iran but would not achieve anything.
