Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Thursday night that the Vienna talks still continue and no one could say that an agreement had been reached until all remaining issues are resolved.

Iran PressIran News: Senior negotiators from Russia, the UK and France tweeted implicitly that the Vienna talks are over.

However, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Twitter stressed that premature good news does not substitute good agreement.

He added:  "Nobody can say the deal is done until all the outstanding remaining issues are resolved. Extra efforts are needed. Everybody is now focused on the final critical steps."

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian,  in a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday, said that Iran has taken many initiatives to resolve the issue so far, and now reaching an agreement requires a political decision and a realistic view from the West.

The eighth round of Vienna talks on lifting US sanctions against Iran resumed on February 8 in the Austrian capital after an 11-day break for consultations between the delegations and their capitals in the presence of the Iranian and P4 + 1 delegations (Germany, France, Britain, Russia, and China). It has been held in various levels and formats since then.
