Tehran (IP) – The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces said that Iranian defense and Geography of Deterrence has expanded, with its human and weapons capabilities being localized, which are the result of sacred defense.

Iran PressIran News: The war imposed by the Iraqi dictator Saddam's Baathist regime against Iran began 19 months after the Islamic Revolution's victory. With the resistance of Iran's armed forces and people, the enemy was defeated after eight years, and the memory of the sacrifices remained in the Iranians' hearts and minds as the Sacred Defense.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces today (Monday) attended the unveiling ceremony of the scientific and research achievements of the Sacred Defense Research Institute, called Martyr Lt.Gen Qasem Soleimani

The achievements of this research institute include five sections: Sacred Defense, Resistance Front, Asymmetric Warfares, Internal Security and Encyclopedia, Applied Research.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh stressed the need to examine the cultural and economic aspects of Sacred Defense and continued: "We must consider our strengths and weaknesses in the fields of  politics and diplomacy."

We must investigate the causes of the imposed war," said Brigadier General Nasirzadeh, adding, "The origins of the imposed war are evident in geopolitical studies. We need to know what the root of the threat was and what has been eliminated."

In the ceremony, dozens of strategic projects, printed books, and indexes in the fields of Sacred Defense, Resistance Front, Internal Security, and Asymmetric Warfares were unveiled in the presence of prominent military and national figures at the Research Institute of Sacred Defense Sciences and Education. 

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly assured the international community that its military power poses no threat to other countries and that Iran's military doctrine is purely defensive and based on the concept of deterrence.
