Vienna (IP) - The consultations continued on the eighth day of the eighth round of Vienna talks, and Russia has said that it might decide to offer new proposals in Vienna.

Iran PressEurope: The consultations continued on the eighth day of the eighth round of Vienna talks, and Ali Bagheri, Iran's chief negotiator, met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

Following the meeting, the Iranian chief negotiator met with Enrique Moura, the coordinator of the Vienna talks, on Tuesday evening, and then discussed with representatives of the three European countries, namely France, Britain and Germany the latest remaining issues in the Vienna talks.

The Zionist regime's new moves continue as the Vienna talks go on, and the Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Israeli delegation also met with Mikhail Ulyanov, the Russian delegation's representative in the Vienna talks.

Asked by reporters in front of the Coburg Hotel in Vienna on Tuesday night, Ulyanov said in response to a question about his meeting with the Israeli delegation that it had nothing to do with the Vienna talks.

"The talks are in the final stages and the Vienna talks can be completed successfully by the end of February 2022, and this is still possible," Ulyanov told reporters about the latest status of the Vienna talks.

Ulyanov said he did not know about new proposals, but that Moscow might decide to put new proposals on the table in Vienna, and either side could do so.

At the same time, a source familiar with the Vienna talks told Iran Press in an exclusive interview in Vienna that the talks are now at a stage where agreement or failure to reach an agreement depends entirely on the decision of the Western parties.

According to this informed source, if the Western parties make the necessary political decisions on the remaining issues, it is possible to reach an agreement in the short term.

In an interview with Iran Press, an informed source stressed that making unrealistic demands, however, will only prolong the process of the Vienna talks.

The eighth round of sanctions talks began in Vienna on December 27 and has resumed in Vienna on February 8, 2022, after a short break to consult delegations in their capitals.
