Tehran (IP) - In a phone conversation, the Iranian President and his French counterpart discussed strategies to strengthen bilateral relations, regional issues and the latest status of Vienna talks.

Iran PressIran News: Referring to the US acknowledgment of the failure of the policy of maximum pressure, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi said: "In the negotiation process, the Islamic Republic of Iran has demonstrated its will and seriousness to reach an agreement, and any effort by the other side in this regard must include the lifting of sanctions, verification, and a valid guarantee."

Emphasizing that stability and security in the region can only be achieved through intra-regional solutions and not foreign intervention, Raisi called on the international community to pay attention to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the siege against the oppressed people of the country.

The French president also stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to distrust the United States because it was the United States that caused the crisis by withdrawing from the JCPOA illegally.

Emmanuel Macron also condemned the military aggression against the Yemeni people, especially the recent attacks.

Developments in the region, including the situation in Lebanon, were other topics of discussion between the presidents of Iran and France. 219
