The US faces increasing armed violence, and every year thousands of people lose their lives or get wounded by gunshot attacks. Based on official statistics there are around 270 to 300 million guns in the US, which is almost one gun for every American.
Now in Philidephia, two people are dead after a late-night shooting in the Kingsessing section of the city.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on the 5700 block of Belmar Street.
When police arrived on the scene, they found two men shot and killed. One of the men was shot multiple times in the head, chest, and leg.
Free arms shipments in the United States on a daily basis lead to shooting-related violence across the country, many of which are deadly, but the arms lobby in the United States is so powerful that Congress has so far refused to take any action to curb arms shipments.
