Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister met his Malian counterpart in Tehran on Sunday, discussing further cooperation and issues of mutual interest.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian welcomed Abdoulaye Diop on Saturday and had a meeting with him.

The Malian Foreign Minister had previously met with the Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Mohammad Ali Zolfigol.

"The Islamic Republic, with its scientific and technological advances, is a model for countries that want to stand up to global arrogance and their oppressive sanctions," said Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop during a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology Zolfigol.

"Mali has been sanctioned by some American, European, and African countries, and we are interested in using Iran's experience to develop science and technology," Abdoulaye Diop said.
