Iran Press/ Iran news: Recent floods inundated some provinces in the southern part of Iran, including Kerman, leaving extensive devastations and causing water and power cuts in most parts of the region and blockage of communication routes.
Ashkan Taghipour, the director-general of the charity in charge of gathering the aid, told Iran Press that the money to prepare the food packages, worth about 4 billion tomans, was supplied from within and outside the country.
The Secretary-General of Iran's Red Crescent Society Yaghoub Soleimani also told Iran Press at the ceremony that sending the aid was to be continued.
On January 21, 2022, after returning from a trip to Russia, Raisi immediately traveled to the flooded areas in the south of Kerman province and, during this trip, ordered the government bodies to provide the flood-affected people with the essential needs and livestock within ten days.
