Kerman (IP) - The flood-hit families in Kerman province have received aid in some of their essential needs.

Iran PressIran News: More than 2,600 families have been affected by the recent floods in the south of Kerman province, southeast of Iran, many of whom lost their basic necessities of life and some ranchers have also lost their livestock. So, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi rushed to reach out to them by providing some of their basic needs.

On January 21, 2022, after returning from a trip to Russia, Raisi immediately traveled to the flooded areas in the south of Kerman province and, during this trip, ordered the government bodies to provide the flood-affected people with the essential needs and livestock within ten days.

In the same context, during the last two days, about 85 items of essential necessities of life, as well as more than 60 light and heavy livestock, were distributed among some of the flood-affected families of Keruchan village in the Jazmourian district of Kerman province.

The village of Keruchan near the city of Zeh-e Kalut is one of the areas whose inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, and during the recent floods in the south of Kerman province, they have suffered a lot of damage.

Earlier, Majid Saeedi, director-general of the Kerman governor's crisis management department, announced that more than 5,000 housing units in the south of Kerman province had been flooded by 20 to 80 percent and needed to be rebuilt and repaired.
