Vienna(IP): Thousands of protesters against mandatory vaccination in Vienna, Austria, take to the street when the world is once again witnessing the rise of Corona with the latest strain of the virus, called Omicron.

Iran PressEurope: People over the age of 18 in Austria must get the Corona vaccine, and anyone who opposes the law and does not get the vaccine will face a fine of 600 to 3,600 euros.

According to the Iran Press correspondent report from Vienna, all Austrian citizens over the age of 18 should be vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

The Austrian government has taken a hard line despite the domestic criticism and protests against the mandatory law, and the Austrian parliament has approved a plan to make the corona vaccine mandatory.

Thousands of Austrians took to the streets in Vienna on Saturday evening holding placards denouncing the mandatory corona vaccination, condemning the Austrian government for violating individual freedoms.

Austria is the first EU member state to take strict measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

About 70% of the 9 million Austrians were vaccinated against corona to increase immunity. With the arrival of the new Corona strain called "Omicron," the world is once again witnessing the rise of Corona disease.
