Tehran (IP) - In a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Iranian President said: "Being popular is one of the characteristics of the Islamic Revolution. It is people-oriented, and its supporters are the people."

Iran PressIran news: On February 1st, 1979, Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Revolution, returned to Tehran amidst an enthusiastic welcome from the people after fifteen years of exile.

Ten days after Imam Khomeini's return to Iran, on February 11th, 1979, the Islamic Revolution of Iran born fruit; hence, from February 1st to February 11th, the 10-day Dawn has been named, and every year, special celebrations and ceremonies for the victory of the Islamic Revolution are held during these days, and people hold massive rallies across the country on Bahman 22.

The 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran is being held this year in the Great Prayer Hall (Imam Khomeini's Mosalla) of Tehran.

Giving a speech at the ceremony of the '22 Bahman rally' in Tehran, Ebrahim Raisi added: "The Iranian revolution was a revolution in which all people participated and, like the Eastern and Western revolutions, did not belong to a particular class or group."

The President noted: "Independence, freedom, and justice are the characteristics of the revolution, and justice, oppression, anti-corruption, and anti-arrogance are within this revolution and cannot be separated from it."

Iran never relies on negotiations in Vienna

After the Bahman 22 rally and in a speech before the Friday prayer sermons in Grand Mosalla mosque of Tehran, President Ebrahim Raisi said: "Iran does not accept domination, does not give up its independence, and is not willing to oppress anyone in the world; these are among the principles and will remain so."

Raisi also described his administration's policy in foreign relations as a balanced policy and stated that looking to the West had made the country unbalanced and Iran relies on God and its people.

Moreover, Iran's President said that Tehran relies on its people for economic growth, progress and never relies on negotiations in Vienna.
