Iran Press/ Iran News: Participating at a ceremony in Isfahan's Golpaygan, central Iran, to commemorate the martyrs of the city, Major General Hossein Salami said on Friday that the Iranian nation under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei passed through the US-masterminded global plot of sanctions.

Commander Salami said: "The enemies have recognized the power of the Islamic Republic in the region and are withdrawing; they utilized all means, but the masterpiece of Velayat (guardianship) in Iran was that it sapped the energy of the enemy during 43 years and inflicted the defeat on the great American empire."
