Iran exports 217,000 tons of agricultural products to Iraq

(IP) – Director general of customs in Ilam Province (Western Iran) said that 217,000 tons of agricultural products worth $ 66 million had been exported to Iraq from the Mehran border in the past ten months.

Iran PressIran News: The border town of Mehran in Ilam Province is about 230 km from the Iraqi capital Baghdad and has become a center of export activities and pilgrimage to Iraq.

Director general of customs in Ilam Province, Ruhollah Gholami also announced the export of $ 870 million worth of goods in the last ten months from the international border of Mehran to Iraq and said that this amount of goods had registered 119% in terms of weight compared to the previous Iranian year and 112% in terms of dollar value.

According to Gholami, this amount of exports of goods in the past ten months was 1,736,000 tons.
