Iran Press/ Iran News: Before leaving Tehran for Moscow on Wednesday, Ebrahim Raisi stated: "The visit is at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin and will focus on promoting regional diplomacy."
He noted that the dialogue between the two powerful and influential countries could significantly impact the region's security, economic, and trade relations.
"We have common interests with Russia, and this interaction provides security and counteracts unilateralism in the region," Raisi pointed.
He said earlier ties with Russia were not desirable, so both sides intend to expand bilateral relations.
Ebrahim Raisi added that Tehran and Moscow also intend to expand ties in energy and aerospace, among other fields.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, traveled to Moscow on Wednesday at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin accompanied by a high-profile delegation from vice presidents and ministers including Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Javad Owji Oil minister, Ehsan Khandouzi, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Issa Zarepour Minister for Communications, Information, and Technology and Youssef Nouri, Education Minister.
Also, Mohsen Rezaei, Vice - President for Economic Affairs, Mohammad Hosseini, Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairsو and Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili, Head of the Presidential office, are taking part in President Raisi's trip to Russia.
