Tajik envoy:

Tehran (IP) - Tajikistan's Ambassador to Tehran said that Iran and Tajikistan have agreed to increase trade volume to € 500 million soon.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking exclusively to IP on the sidelines of the "Perspectives of Tajik-Iranian relations" ceremony held on the 30th anniversary of the establishment Tehran-Dushanbe diplomatic ties, Nizamuddin Zahedi stated that to achieve the goals set, the two sides agreed to prepare and sign a long-term trade and economic cooperation development plan for 2030.

Zahedi continued: "Over the past 30 years, Iran and Tajikistan, which have a long history of political, economic, trade, cultural, security, and military achievements, have taken significant steps."

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Tajikistan in September marked the beginning of a new phase in cooperation between the two countries, added the official.

The Tajikistan Ambassador to Tehran emphasized that the two countries agreed to use all trade and economic capacities to enhance cooperation.

There are facilities and capacities to implement the cooperation agreements between the two sides, with the volume of trade between Iran and Tajikistan has tripled during the last three months.
