Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister says the upcoming visit of the Tajikistan President to Iran could accelerate the growing relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: In a message of congratulation on the 30th anniversary of Tehran-Dushanbe diplomatic relations, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the shore-up of ties with the neighboring countries as Iran's top priority in foreign policy, where Tajikistan has stood in a specific place.

Amir-Abdollahian associated President  Ebrahim Raisi to Tajikistan as the president's first trip that, as the FM said, had opened a new chapter in bilateral ties in political, economic, cultural, regional, and regional international areas.

"During the visit, grounds were prepared for the permanent membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, hosted and assisted by our friend country, the Republic of Tajikistan," he added.  

In the message, he pointed to Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon to Tehran, saying the trip could consolidate relations and strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.
