Tehran (IP) – Iranian foreign minister and Turkmen vice president met in Tehran on Saturday to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Serdar Berdimuhamedow discussed cooperation in economy, trade, energy, transport and transit.

Regional issues, including the current situation in Afghanistan, were among the other topics of discussion, and the two sides emphasized the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

Highlighting the importance of bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Berdimuhamedow considered the role of the Joint Economic Commission in the development of relations between the two countries crucial.

He also noted that there are good capacities for cooperation between the two countries in transportation, technical and engineering services, electricity, oil and gas.

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Muradov is also accompanying Serdar Berdimuhamedow on his visit to Tehran.

The meeting was also attended by Rashid Muradov who explained the bilateral cooperation and joint projects and programs.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow is also scheduled to visit Tehran soon.
