Tehran (IP) - The Association of Iraqi Students in Iran commemorated the second martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: At the beginning of the ceremony held on Wednesday at Tehran University, the statement issued by the association was read in Arabic by Karrar Khafaji, the representative of the association.

The book "Soldier of the School" authored by Sayed Reza Naghavi from Pakistan was unveiled, in four languages: English, Arabic, Persian, and Hebrew.

Naghavi said: "This book describes the character of Martyr Soleimani from his birth to his martyrdom in six chapters."

General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

They were prevalent because of their crucial role in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
