Tehran (IP) – Iran Health Ministry announced on Monday that 22 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,702.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 03, 2022, 6,198,590 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,042,589 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,677 cases, of whom 334 patients were hospitalized.

2,624 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 42,281,617 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 59,909,150 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 52,140,405 have received the second dose, 8,373,467 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 120,423,022 doses.
