Iran Press/ Iran news: In a congregation held on the occasion of the "Dey 9th Epic" (December 30) at Tehran's Imam Hussain square, Hojjatoleslam Abdollah Haji-Sadeghi called Iran's Leader and the Iranian people who follow Leader as two gifts that always will convert enemies' plots into opportunities.
Haji-Sadeghi referred to the US-backed unrest in Iran post-presidential election in 2009 and said the Iranians nipped the sedition in the bud 12 years ago.
"The rioters wanted to destroy the people's beliefs, but the people did not tolerate the insult to their sanctities," he added.
The top cleric noted that the "Dey 9th Epic" was not a mere event to be commemorated but rather a beacon for the future path and a means of transmission of resistance culture.
The Leader's representative in IRGC recalled: "Today, the Resistance culture has transcended Iran's borders to Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, and the enemy also is in decline."
December 30, 2009, was a reminder of the march of millions of Iranians to acquit the disruptors of society and decisive response to the sedition elements who had taken the wrong path under the pretext of so-called fraud in the tenth round of the Iranian presidential election.
