Iran's Olympic Committee demands budget from parliament

Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran's National Committee said the body corresponded with the Speaker of Parliament and relevant officials to allocate a separate budget to the National Olympic Committee.

Iran PressIran news: Reza Salehi Amiri said on Wednesday that in the letter he stressed that the decision to merge the budget of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees with the Ministry of Sports and Youth was an unprofessional decision.

He exampled Italy's merging of the budget that received a warning from the International Olympic Committee, saying the international body emphasized the countries' allocation of budget to their national Olympic committees. 

This year, the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Iran is scheduled to allocate the necessary budget to the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
