Isfahan (IP) - As the New Year 2022 approaches, the Armenian community in the city of Isfahan, central Iran, welcomed it by attending Vank Church in the Jolfa district of the city.

Iran PressIran News: The lighting of the Vank churchyard, the oldest and most beautiful church in Iran, and the decoration of its courtyard with pine trees are some of the beautiful manifestations of the Jolfa neighborhood.

Vank Church is one of the Isfahan and Iran's historical and tourist monuments.

With the decoration of the historic Vank Church and the Armenian celebration, the citizens of Isfahan and the Jolfa neighborhood also attended the Vank Church on Saturday night to celebrate the New Year with their Armenian compatriots.

Armenians are the largest group of Christians in Iran, living mainly in Isfahan, Tabriz, Urmia, and Tehran.
