Tehran(IP) -The eighth round of the Iran-Oman Joint Strategic Consultation Committee meeting was held in Tehran on Saturday.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Bagheri-Kani, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, and Sheikh Khalifa Al Harthy Oman's Deputy Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with the 50th anniversary of the two countries' relations and the effort to develop them based on mutual trust.

In addition to bilateral issues, the two sides also discussed various regional and international issues, including the Vienna talks, the need for a political solution to the crisis in Yemen, and the region's needs.

Ali Bagheri-Kani, in the meeting, emphasized the need to resolve regional issues by the countries of the region, expressed hope that the existing problems will be resolved based on dialogue between the countries of the region.

" Sheikh Khalifa Al Harthy also in this meeting, referring to the pivotal role of Iran in the developments in the region, said: "His country, as in the past, is interested in developing bilateral and regional relations and considers peaceful paths necessary for peace and tranquility in the region."

Al Harthy said that relations between Iran and Oman, which have regional and trans-regional influences, will continue.

At the end of the meeting, the minutes of the eighth round of the Strategic Consultation Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman were signed by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries.
