Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Science, Research, and Technology says that based on the scientific regulations of the country, grounds must be prepared to encourage researchers and technologists to interact with the whole world.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the 22nd ceremony of honoring the country's selected researchers and technologists on Thursday, Mohammad Ali Zolfigol noted: "There are different ways to promote scientific diplomacy at the international level, one of which is to encourage scientists and researchers to cooperate with the research and technology groups in other countries."

"We should also invite foreign students in the country's universities to follow both their education and research," Zolfigol added. 

Zolfigol told IP that holding national and international conferences and inviting prominent scientists from other countries, especially the neighbors, to present their latest experiences and study opportunities was the other promising way to improve the country's scientific diplomacy.

As the other key factor in improving scientific diplomacy, Iran's Minister of Science, Research, and Technology stressed the need to establish joint journals with other countries in all fields of science, research, and technology.

The ceremony was attended by Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology, Mohammad Ali Zolfigol Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Ahmad Vahidi, Iran's Interior Minister, and Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sport and Youths.
