Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said that the likelihood of reaching an agreement on the JCPOA had increased.

Iran PressEurope: According to Iran Press, Sergei Ryabkov on Monday told the RIA news agency that he believed there are reasons to expect some progress on the revival of a 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and that the possibility of reaching an agreement had increased.

Ryabkov added: "Iran's proposals regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) show Tehran's maximum seriousness in reviving the nuclear deal."

The seventh round of talks in Vienna on Iran's nuclear program began on November 29. The main topic of these talks is the lifting of US sanctions against Iran.

The Vienna talks are aimed at lifting the oppressive and illegal sanctions against Iran in a situation where, despite the pressures caused by the destructive line of the hostile media and the sabotage of the Israeli regime, the talks have witnessed tangible progress.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, on the fourth day of the Vienna talks, the first expert meeting, called the Executive Measures Working Group was held. The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the P4 + 1 group, the European Union, and Iran and will continue to monitor the implementation of the agreement to revive the provisions of the JCPOA.

At the same time, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's chief negotiator, stated that as a result of the interactions and meetings held over the past few days at the expert level and senior negotiating officials, the differences between the parties on the scope and extent of negotiable issues are decreasing. He expressed hope that the parties in the current round of talks will reach a conclusion on the issues to be negotiated.
