Iran logs 78 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 78 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 130,524.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 09, 2021, on Thursday, 6,147,872 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,950,425 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 3,228 cases, of whom 529 patients were hospitalized.

3,169 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 39,739,512 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, two cities are red, nine are orange, 153 are yellow, and 284 are blue zones.

So far, 58,489,565 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 48,926,450 have received the second dose, 1,971,229 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 109,387,244 doses.
