Iran, China confer on Vienna talks on phone

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, in a telephone conversation with the Chinese counterpart, discussed and exchanged views on the Vienna talks.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Bagheri Kani, the political deputy of the Iranian Foreign Minister, on Wednesday in a telephone call with Ma Zhaoxu, China's vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, referred to the wide range of cooperation between the two sides and the alignment of positions between the two countries on many issues about the international community, including the Vienna talks.

Bagheri praised Beijing's support for Iran's views on important issues such as prioritizing lifting illegal US sanctions and getting guarantees to Iran.

While clarifying some of the cases proposed by the Iranian delegation in the form of draft texts submitted to the other JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) parties, Bagheri Kani emphasized that proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been formulated in a well-grounded and documented form.

In this telephone call, the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, while emphasizing the usefulness and continuity of consultations and coordination between the parties in the continuation of the negotiation process, expressed hope that the other parties would also contribute to the progress of the talks with a constructive approach.
