Iran, Rep. Azerbaijan agree to build bridge over Astarachai

IP- Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have agreed to construct a car crossing bridge over the AstaraChai (Astara River) border.

Iran PressIran News: Khairullah Khademi, Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, told reporters on Tuesday after the end of a meeting between Iranian and Azerbaijani officials: "A  car crossing bridge will be constructed on the AstaraChai border river to increase economic capacity between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan."

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, noting that the location and plan for the construction of the bridge have been determined, said: "The border guards of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan are scheduled to meet in two weeks to determine the zero point of the border and other border-related affairs."

The joint meeting of the officials of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Astara, Iran, to develop and upgrade the infrastructure of the Astara-Astara International Railway.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications, and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rahman Dursun oglu Hummatov, along with 20 Azeri officials in the city of Astara, were guests of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
